As a portrait photographer, I love being able to collaborate with my friends. Anja is one of my closest friends, and she’s currently an event planner in Texas, but she travels back home to New England quite a bit. When she was up here for a trip, we knew we wanted to get her some fresh headshots and have a little fun. So, we went to the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH for a creative photo session. I’m excited to share it with you!

Currier Museum of Art Photo Session
The challenging thing about the Currier Museum is that they don’t allow flash because of all of the art, which can be tricky since it can be pretty dark in places. With the exception of the big, bright atrium in the middle of the building, it can be hard to get great light. The good news is that there’s tons of art (obviously), which can make for some great creative shots.

We just basically walked around the museum looking for fun artwork that we could play with as a background. The Currier Museum, in particular, has a lot of different staircases, which is great for angles. So, you’ll see a lot of stairs in these photos since there were so many options.

For me, the key to a good photoshoot is picking a great location and then truly exploring and being open to different things. You never know what creative photos you can make when you’re open to trying different angles and backgrounds. I love that Anja was willing to even get on the ground for an interesting shot, and I think it was worth it.

It was so much fun to go to the Currier Museum with Anja and mess around to see what we could get. If you’re looking for your own fun branding or editorial-style photo session, I’m here for it. Whatever you’re looking for, we can figure it out. Reach out to me, and let’s make a plan.
